Schedule I is one of those games where you tell yourself you’re only getting on for an hour, then suddenly it’s 3 AM and you’re reorganizing an entire criminal empire.

The progression is ridiculously satisfying. You start with basically nothing, slowly build up customers, improve production, buy properties, hire employees, and eventually turn everything into a surprisingly deep operation. There’s always something else to upgrade or automate, which makes it really hard to put down.

Playing with friends makes it even better. Half the time we’re actually trying to expand the business, and the other half we’re driving around causing problems and completely forgetting what we were supposed to be doing.

It’s still in Early Access, so you’re going to run into some bugs and areas that could use more content, but the core game is already extremely fun. The developer has also continued updating it, including recent additions and fixes.

For $19.99, I’ve gotten way more entertainment out of Schedule I than I expected. If you like management games, co-op chaos, progression, and watching a small operation slowly turn into an empire, this is an easy recommendation.

9/10 — came to build an empire, stayed because my friends and I are terrible criminals.
